Yes it’s cold in Canada. So what do you do in the long, cold months? You dance.
Ms. Dove grew up as the daughter of the owner of two major dance studios in the Toronto metroplex, both of which are still running strong fifty eight years since their doors opened. When she was 16, after a harrowing slippery stage at a competition she decided to hang up her performance shoes and begin what would become her passion of teaching. Over five hundred students and nearly one thousand placings in local, national and international competitions later, Ms. Dove continues to foster the love of the art of dance in her students.
Her heart lies in the students and their development, helping them acquire the skills needed to pursue dance either as a career or just to enhance their own love of this art form. Using her certifications from both the British Association of Teachers of Dance and Dance Masters of America, she has created, implemented and directed as well as choreographed for numerous competitive and performance companies and has many students that have gone on to college, performance and teaching careers. She also continues to choreograph both small and large scale musical productions which is her favorite genre to work in.
Ms. Dove is well versed and trained in classical techniques for all genres of dance and concentrates on solid foundations to ensure that her students are trained correctly and are prepared to be successful in all aspects of the industry.
