Vicki Guess grew up loving art and has had a chance to use that love in a lot of different ways.  She has enjoyed teaching art, creating art in many different mediums, designing and creating puppets, illustrating children's books, and having art camps for her grandchildren. She is currently teaching art at Faith Christian (where she has been for the last 7 years).

Vicki holds a Bachelor's of Science in Art (1972) from Oklahoma State University
Mrs. Jenn Neher
Jennifer Neher
Visual Art, Photography   |  Master Teacher

Jennifer has been drawing and creating art for as long as she can remember. She decided to be an art teacher when she was in high school. She even had the opportunity to observe several different art teachers before graduating and going to college at Texas Tech.

That August, she began her teaching career as an elementary art teacher.  This is her 20th year to teach.  She is currently teaching art to K-6 grade students at Berry Elementary in Arlington, TX.  When creating art, her favorite media are watercolor and acrylic painting, throwing and hand-building pottery, and photography.  She enjoys teaching students to create and sharing her love of art with them, and believes everyone is an artist.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor's in Art Education (1994) from Texas Tech University

Jessica was born in Fort Worth and spent her early years there with her identical twin sister and two younger brothers. From a young age, she and her sister would spend hours in the backyard making mud pies, which eventually evolved into a pretend donut factory and gingerbread house. They also transformed old pizza boxes into dollhouses, crafting furniture and rooms from various materials. Jessica began sewing and designing her own patterns at an early age, creating teddy bears and dolls.

Jessica first started formal art classes in middle school. Her teacher recognized her talent and encouraged her to apply for an advanced art program in high school. She continued her studies there, excelling in advanced and AP art, and in 1996, she was chosen as one of 12 artists to be featured on the AP Art National Poster.

As an undergrad, she pursued her passion for art at Texas Woman’s University, graduating magna cum laude. During her time there, she studied abroad in Italy, learning techniques in Etruscan and Roman pottery, glazing, Roman portrait plates, Etruscan underglaze painting, and portrait sculpture. She had the opportunity to study under internationally renowned artists.

Jessica was one of 10 students selected for TCU's Masters Art Program, where she graduated summa cum laude. Her focus was on porcelain and textile sculptures.

For Jessica, using visual art to share the heart of God and His story of redemption has always been paramount. Her passion is to spark creativity and a love for the arts in children that will last a lifetime. She believes there is endless inspiration in God’s creation—animals, plants, and our surroundings—offering unending beauty and stories to tell through art. Jessica would be honored to work with your children and share her joy of working in ceramics.

Mrs. Witt hold a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Texas Woman’s University (2003), and a Master's of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Texas Christian University (2009).
